Praetorian Marketing on the young and unemployed in Britain.

Praetorian Marketing has been looking into the current state of employment amongst young people in the UK following news that unemployment levels have reached an all time high, with 1.02 million 16-24 year olds left out of work.

As figures of youth unemployment hit a record high in Britain, Praetorian Marketing investigates why so many young people are out of employment. With the current financial climate it would be easy enough to blame the low number of young people unemployed solely on credit crunch Britain. However as cuts made in the education sector coincide with a time when more then one million of Britain’s young people are unemployed, Praetorian Marketing delve deeper into the issue to find out exactly what is going wrong.

Praetorian Marketing has gone from strength to strength in a time of financial crisis, recently expanding with a second office opening in Coventry city centre. A spokesperson for Praetorian Marketing commented,

‘Praetorian Marketing has been fortunate in a time of financial crisis, operating in a market that remains almost entirely untouched by the credit crunch. However, that hasn’t left us out of touch with the difficulties youths are facing finding employment. At Praetorian Marketing we are encouraged by news that work experience is going to be offered to all youths who are out of employment.’

The government scheme will look to get young people into a work environment where they can gain valuable experience. An often heard complaint is that young people can’t find a job because they don’t have the relevant experience but they also can’t get that experience. This scheme will look to remedy the problem.

‘At Praetorian Marketing we also expect to see young people taking less tradition routes into work, perhaps joining family businesses or even setting up businesses of their own. The government looks set to encourage banks to provide people with small business loans in an attempt to kick start the economy.’

With the Euro Crisis also at the forefront of peoples minds there is no doubt that the next couple of months are going to be particularly tough for the whole of Britain. Praetorian Marketing will be interested to see what plans the government makes or whether young people will decide to take their career path into their own hands.
